******** Evita Peron****
Evita Peron is one of the most inspirational people I have ever read or heard about. Some have been known to call her a whore because of what appeared to be promiscuous behavior, however according to Nicholas Fraser and Marysal Navaro, the authors of Evita The Real Life of Eva Peron, state on page 24 in their book that, “by 1939 she had become quite successful. She had not as people still say, become a “putita” who slept around for parts in movies,” people assumed that she slept with people just because she was an aspiring actress. If she was a whore she did not do it for an unworthy cause. Her intentions in the end were to help the people of Argentina, the “Descamisados” which means without a shirt on.
Evita was guilty of taking advantage of opportunities that came her way but only for good reasons. She first met her soon to be husband Juan Peron, when working for the earthquake relief fund of the Andean town of San Juan (pg. 32). She later backed Peron when he was imprisoned and politically defeated. This was a personally risky position for her to take because she was focused on a career and well on her way to becoming a very successful movie star and connecting herself with Peron could have ruined her career. The position she took to support him was scarcely an opportunity to exploit. The authors assert on (pg. 59). “Evita might well have chosen at this moment to desert Peron- such a decision would have been in line with selfishness attributed to her by many of her enemies.” But she didn’t.
Atilo Bramuglia the labor lawyer told her that she had no sense of what the country needed and that all she cared about was saving her man and going off with him. Another unpopular circumstance involving Evita was her standing along side of Peron during speeches he made for the presidency, as no candidates wife had ever done this before (pg. 72). These aren’t actions of someone trying to gain something. She could have kept up with her acting career, which was going great, if all she cared about was being successful.
Evita was a true woman who respected rights, wisdom and virtues of the people. Evita started visiting factories all by Peron’s inaugurations and dealing with unions, not necessarily glamorous at all (pg. 78). Liliane Guardo said, “Evita was very much absorbed in her work, like numerous small ceremonies of politics.” (pg. 81) she was also concerned with mobilizing woman who had never voted or had never voted or had a clue about politics. (pg. 109) Evita helped a lot of people because that was her passion. She built schools, 1,000 of them in the poorest places of the country. She would often walk through the dormitories to make sure everything was as it was supposed to be. Because the health care system was equal for the first time it was because Evita who managed to work although she was sick and exhausted. Of many distortions in her life the book declares, the closest suggestion that Evita elected to die for Peron and Peronism, (pg. 135).
Obviously Evita was very ambitious who looked beyond taking any credit in her quest to attend the people of her roots. All the facts in the book point to her focus on the need of her people. If along her journey she had to cut some corners it was only done with the Descamisados at her heart. Her life was transformed into myth where all her fame lies forever. Myth, inspiration, and spirit, that is what the departed give us, and that is what Evita most definitely does.
Order Of Operations
Order of operations consist of a very important cycle. This math skill can help in real life situations. Because there is a order to follow for this maths skill it would be wrong if it is not followed correctly.
Simplifications cant’t be done without order of operations because, this is step by step math. You don’t multiply before parenthesis because you have to follow the steps of pemdas. Pemdas mean parenthesis, exponent, multiplication, division, addition, and subtraction, a real life example of order would be taking a shower, you have to be wet before you dry.
There are many examples in my life where rules such as order of operations are used. Two examples in my life where similar rules are used are, tying your shoes. First you have to put your shoes on before tying them. Also your hair has to be brushed before straightend.
Mathmatic simplifications can be done because not all math problems are order of operations. For example to clean your household you can start different points in your house, you don’t necessarly need to work in order.
In conclusion there’s points in our life’s were it is neccessary to do things in order but also there’s that don’t have order. I learned that without order of opertions you would’nt be able to solve pemdas correctly.
**Science Reflection**
There are many methods of experimentations. For example the scientific method, measurement of motion, and mixtures and solutions. There are many ways and examples in how each and every one of these methods are used.
The scientific method is the process to conduct an experiment in order to prove a idea. A control is, part of the experiment that stays the same. There also is a variable, which is any part of the experiment that can vary. A independent variable is part of the experiment that is manipulated or changed and there is a dependent variable which, is the part of the process that is affected by the independent variable.
Measurements of motion like bob sledding and time trials were learned as an example. Newton’s laws were part of the experiment. One of Newton’s laws that were often used was an object in motion stays in motion unless acted, on by a un equal force. During bob sledding at sunlight, there was friction acting on my sled. Friction is when two objects rub against each other, as a result of this the sled went slow, but it started speeding up when my sister pushed it. The push was a un equal force.
Through the process of scientific experimentation I have learned many science methods and concepts. By all these experiments that I have done in my past I have always learned something new. Scientific methods will come in handy in some point of our life’s.
